Abstract: »The article examines sexual violence as an instrument of political repression during the Argentine civic-military dictatorship (1976–1983), from the perspective of gender and human rights. The qualitative and bibliographic research, adopts the multiple case study method articulated with the documentary analysis of jurisprudential sources. Furthermore, is based on feminist authors such as Rita Segato and Rosanne Anholt, as well as official documents from trials on crimes against humanity. The cases of ESMA, Campo de Mayo, and the Atlético-Banco-Olimpo Circuit were analyzed, revealing that sexual violence was systematic and planned by the State. Such practices expressed a policy of domination and silencing, aimed at the moral and psychological destruction of the victims. The legal recognition of these crimes as autonomous crimes against humanity represents a symbolic and institutional advance, strengthening justice and democratic memory. It is concluded that understanding sexual violence from a gender perspective deepens the comprehension of the relations among power, body, and politics, reaffirming the need for historical truth and reparation for the victims.« (Source: Revista Latinoamericana Estudios de la Paz y el Conflicto)
